  • 10+2 / Intermediate with Mathematics, Physics and English from a recognised board with minimum 50% overall and 50% in English.
  • 3-year Engineering Diploma (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile, Computer Science, IT, Instrumentation) with 50% overall and 50% in English.
  • 2-year Vocational Course with Physics and Mathematics and minimum 50% overall and 50% in English.

For Other Than Science Subjects

  • 10+2 / Intermediate in any stream with minimum 50% overall and 50% in English.
  • 2-year Vocational Course with minimum 50% overall and 50% in English.

Essential Requirements

  • Only boards recognised by Central, State or UT governments will be accepted.
  • Marks will be considered as per exact percentage mentioned in marksheet (no rounding off).
  • Science candidates are also eligible to apply for Non-Science category.

Salary / Stipend

  • 1st Year: ₹30,000/month (In-hand: ₹21,000 + Corpus: ₹9,000)
  • 2nd Year: ₹33,000/month (In-hand: ₹23,100 + Corpus: ₹9,900)
  • 3rd Year: ₹36,500/month (In-hand: ₹25,550 + Corpus: ₹10,950)
  • 4th Year: ₹40,000/month (In-hand: ₹28,000 + Corpus: ₹12,000)
  • Additional Benefits: Risk allowance, travel, ration, clothing, accommodation, and LTC as per rules.
  • Seva Nidhi: Approx ₹10.04 lakh after 4 years.
  • Insurance: ₹48 lakh life insurance cover.

General Information & Instructions

  • Marital Status: Only unmarried candidates are eligible. Marriage during engagement will lead to discharge.
  • Pregnancy Policy: Female candidates must not get pregnant during engagement. Pregnancy leads to discharge and disqualification from regular cadre.
  • Medical Standards:
    • Height: Minimum 152 cm (relaxation for North East, hilly regions & Lakshadweep)
    • Weight: Proportionate to height and age
    • Chest: Male – 77 cm with 5 cm expansion | Female – 5 cm expansion
    • Vision: 6/12 correctable to 6/6, Colour Vision CP-II
    • Hearing: Able to hear forced whisper from 6 metres
    • Dental: Minimum 14 dental points
    • LASIK/PRK surgery not permitted
  • Body Tattoo: Permanent tattoos allowed only on inner forearms, back of hand/palm and tribal tattoos as per custom.
  • NDPS Policy: Zero tolerance for narcotic or psychotropic substance use.

Mode of Selection

Phase-I: Online Test

  • Objective-type exam (Bilingual: English & Hindi, except English paper)
  • Science Subjects: 60 minutes — Physics, Mathematics & English (10+2 CBSE level)
  • Non-Science Subjects: 45 minutes — English, Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA)
  • Both Categories: 85 minutes — Physics, Mathematics, English & RAGA
  • Marking Scheme: +1 for correct, 0 for unattempted, -0.25 for wrong answer

Normalisation of Marks

  • Marks will be normalised to balance difficulty differences across sessions.

Phase-II Testing at ASC

Physical Fitness Test (PFT) Details

  • PFT-I: 1.6 km run — Male: 7 minutes | Female: 8 minutes
  • PFT-II (Male): 10 Push-ups (1 min), 10 Sit-ups (1 min), 20 Squats (1 min)
  • PFT-II (Female): 10 Sit-ups (1 min 30 sec), 15 Squats (1 min)

Phase-III: Medical Examination

  • Conducted by Air Force Medical Team as per IAF medical standards
  • Includes blood test, urine test, X-ray, ECG, USG (for females), etc.

Appeal Medical Board

  • For candidates declared medically unfit
  • Appeal fee: ₹40

Indian Air Force Agniveervayu Recruitment is conducted under the Agnipath scheme to induct young, motivated, and disciplined candidates into the Indian Air Force. This recruitment offers a four-year engagement period under the Air Force Act, 1950, providing candidates with military training, professional skills, and national service experience.

Interested candidates must apply online through the official Indian Air Force recruitment portal.
